Through collaboration with communities, thought leaders and professionals, the Center for Architec ture work s to catalyze ac tion to address the most challenging issues of the 21st centur y. Envisioned in 2005 by AIA Por tland, the CFA was incorporated in 2009. Through exhibitions, f ilms and events, the Center for Architec ture has become a resource for our communities — bringing a greater awareness of the design of the built environment and how it contributes to the qualit y of life for ever yone. As par t of its educa- tional outreach, the CFA's ongoing initiatives include galler y exhibitions with related lec tures and f ilms, tours, and a par tnership with Design Week Por tland to present major architec turally themed content during its design festival. The CFA endeavors to present exhibits, f ilms and lec tures that would appeal to the general public. You can direc tly suppor t these initiatives by suppor ting the Center for Architec ture through individual or company donations to help raise public awareness of architec- ture and how it shapes our lives ever y day!
